Muehlenbeckia complexa

NZ$10.00

Also known as Pohuehue, Maidenhair vine

A NZ native, this plant grows as a groundcover into a tangled web of branches. The leaves are small and green, and it has small cream/green flowers spring to summer. Full sun to partial shade, wind and drought tolerant. Perfect on the coast and is often used to stabilize sandy soil as it forms roots as it spreads. Great for covering a large area.

Can spread to 3m wide. Can be easily cut back to keep it in shape if you need. Good for scrambling over banks and difficult areas, you can leave it to do its own thing. Will also climb if given some structural support. Prune it back easily into shape. Lizards and insects seem to like it too. Often used as a re-vegetation plant.

These plants are in PB3 bags.
